Christina Sleigh - Alto Sax, Clarinet, and Vocals

Ms. Sleigh holds a BM degree in Music Education from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Master's of Music degree in Instrumental Conducting from California State University, Sacramento. At UNR, Chrissy was very active in bands and choirs where she has performed in venues as wide-ranging as bowl games and Carnegie Hall. A variety of abilities and interests have given her the opportunity to both perform and direct musical theatre, serve as a vocal coach for the Reno Irish Dance Company, and in 2008, her barbershop quartet finished in 4th place at the Sweet Adeline's International Rising Star Competition. As a clarinet/saxophone player, she continues to play in local community bands and the Speakeazy Jazz Orchestra. After teaching a year at Del Oro high school, Ms. Sleigh returned to school to pursue her MM degree in Instrumental conducting at CSUS. Most recently, she is a guest conductor with the Amador County Concert Band and is a part time teacher in, where she teaches beginning band at various schools within the Amador County Unified School district. She wishes to thank all of her various families for their continued love and support in all her endeavors.
