I was raised a child of the 60's in El Dorado county and got my 1st drum set in 1965.
I started playing drums professionally in a country band, The Country Edition, at the age of 14. Our most memorable jobs included playing a series of shows for Lt. Governor Ed Reinecke, who served under Ronald Reagan.
After high school graduation, our jazz band toured Europe, playing in England, Austria, France, Switzerland and Germany.
Over the last 38 years, I have played with such artists as Holly Near, Ray, Larry, and Carry Park, Vern Williams, Jerry Martinez of Sly and the Family Stone, and Archie Lee Hooker.
I have played up and down the state of California and Nevada, appeared on local TV and radio, in concerts, at state and local fairs, in large and small venues and have been involved in various recordings.
I have lived and played music in Amador County since 1978 with The Stained Glass Band, Pony Express, Whiskey River Band, Amador Community Band, Blue Stooges, Bobby D. and the Blues Organization, Second Wind,Tri-Tone Subs and The Speakeazy Jazz Orchestra. I have also played drums and keyboards in church and for ecumenical retreats. In addition to a 9-5 job and my music, I am minister of the Jackson United Methodist Church.
I love playing and making music.
In closing, it makes my heart soar when I can make others feel glad using the talents that God has blessed me with, knowing that each day is a gift and sharing with others is the greatest gift of all.
